First of Many

I have spent the past 3 days debating on what to name my blog.  I didn't want a name that would hem me in to only one aspect of my life; I wanted something broad but meaningful.  Last night, around midnight, it came to me - Sea Glass Stash.  I have a vase full of sea glass I have collected over the years. The first pieces were collected when I was old enough to walk, talk and hunt for sea glass.  I have searched for these tiny, refined, smooth glass pieces with my family and friends, some of whom have passed away. When I look at my stash it reminds me of them (I love you and miss you mom).

Sea glass comes in all shapes and sizes.  The white, brown and green pieces are the most common; red, orange, blue and purple are rare. If anyone in my family found a rare piece, we would gloat all day about our new treasure.

Some sea glass in my collection is a little rough around the edges. Maybe it should have even been tossed back into the ocean in order to be refined a little longer. (The glass turns frosty due to the tiny nicks on the surface against other rocks tossed by waves and wear against the sand).

Like the sea glass, this blog is going to be about all different types of topics, all different colors, shapes & sizes.  Some of my blog ideas maybe tossed back and refined a little more after a post (to research more or find a better idea/product). My husband and I gave away a lot of my sea glass stash in little fancy bags as wedding favors (we had our wedding near the beach with a beachy theme).  My blog posts will be little pieces of my life that I share with you. I hope you enjoy.

  1. Love it. I'm going to become a follower :)

I've switched to all-natural beauty products (a French line) and I've recently discovered the amazing qualities of coconut oil and rose hip oil. No more lotions for me!

Sorry I didn't call yesterday - forgot it was my Dad's birthday, so I was on the phone with him late...
