Burberry Lip Cover Lipsticks - Tulip Pink No 27 and Delicate Rose No 22

When I was trying to decide which Burberry Lip Cover Lipsticks I wanted to purchase during Nordstrom's beauty event, I was torn between Delicate Rose and Tulip Pink.  I had the hardest time seeing a difference between the two lip colors online, they looked so similar!! I live far from a Burberry counter and had to pre-order via the phone, so I wasn't able to see the two lip colors in person. My sales associate sent me a sample of Delicate Rose and I purchased Tulip Pink.  I wanted to do this post to help out anyone else who may be trying to choose between these two colors.

Before I delve into the color differences, I just wanted to mention a little about the Burberry Lip Covers.  The packaging has a nice luxury feel (sturdy, sleek, and has clever magnetic closure).  The Burberry Lip Covers glide on the lips and provide a generous amount of color as well as a slight sheen. These aren't the most hydrating lipsticks, yet they aren't terribly drying either. I would say they are just in the middle on the hydrating/drying scale. The Burberry Lip Covers I've tried last about 2-3 hours on my lips. On a different note, I really like the colors. Burberry provides a lot of classic colors and a lot them evoke the image of the classy ladies of the 1930's or 1940's (at least in my mind).  Timeless beauty.

The Comparison-
Delicate Rose has more pink in it and has a slight hint of a 'melon' color. Tulip Pink is a hair darker and is just a tad more brown. I also think that Tulip Pink may have a little more shine to it (but that may be because it's a new lipstick vs. a sample- storage can effect a lipsticks consistency, how it dries out, etc).

  1. One of the things I love about Burberry is they make such elegant, wearable colors. There isn't a bad one in the bunch. Thanks for the swatches and side by side comparisons. I would choose the Tulip Pink. I think the pigment is slightly deeper and that would give my lips more definition and would not blend into my skintone. It's a lipcolor I could wear for any reason and any occasion.
