Fashion Haul & Look Book - eShakti, Juicy Couture, Express

Here's a fashion haul of items I've purchased over the last month, gifts for my birthday and an item that was sent to me to review (eshakti). eShakti is an online only, women's fashion apparel company offering sizes 0-36W & custom clothing. Love the custom part! Watch my three minute look book for more information :)

Additional Information for eShakti:
http://www.eshakti.com
https://www.facebook.com/eshakti
https://twitter.com/eshakti

The dress that I selected is the floral jacquard sequin waist dress. The top is velvet and the waist is a built in belt of beads and gold sequins. The bottom material is thicker and some of the flowers are reflective gold (which pairs well with the belt ).

I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to order and select my size. The sizes are displayed right on the product page (below each item). When ordering you select your height (for a more perfect fit), and can select custom styling for an additional $7.50.  With the custom styling you can add sleeves, take away sleeves, tailor your dress length and neck line. There are pictures too, so you can see what kind of neck line, dress length, or sleeves you want to select.

eShakti provided me with a coupon code for my readers. It's not an affiliate link- it’s just a coupon:
coupon code ' seaglassstash '-  to get 10% OFF when you shop at eShakti – valid from 12/16/2014 – 01/16/2015

Please note:
Code has to be entered in the ‘promotional code’ box.   It is not case-sensitive.
Code can be used any number of times until the validity period.
It can be clubbed with any other promotional offer, gift coupon or gift card in the same order unless explicitly specified otherwise in the offer conditions.
This discount code is not applicable on clearance / sale, gift cards & overstock categories.
Not applicable on previous purchases.

The three Juicy Couture shirts are available at Kohl’s (I used a coupon and they were around $15 each!) I love how the tank top is loose around the mid area. Perfect for wearing to zumba!

The Kate Spade purse was a birthday gift from one of my best friends. It’s my first fancy purse! The Express sweater was a birthday gift from one of my other best friends, I love the jewels on the shoulders!

Thanks for watching (and reading this!!) I hope you enjoyed this quick, 3 minute fashion haul and look-book. I'd love to hear what you've been wearing and gravitating towards in fashion the past few months.

Too Faced Everything Nice Palette - Too Faced Holiday 2014

I just received the Too Faced 'Everything Nice' palette about an hour ago!  I wanted to post this because a few friends were asking about this palette and wanted to hear my thoughts.  I LOVED last years 'A Few of My Favorite Things' palette that Too Faced released last fall, so I knew I wanted to purchase this one too :)

I haven't worn the shadows yet but I wanted to make this post more of a first impressions that includes swatches. The packaging is adorable and it is similar to last years palette (both are cardboard with magnetic closure), but 'Everything Nice' is a fraction thicker. The layout of the palette is the same with the shadows on the top and the face products on the bottom.

'Everything Nice' came with a makeup bag and a deluxe sample of the Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. The bag for A Few of My Favorite Things is very large and functional (the palette can fit inside the bag).  The bag that came with 'Everything Nice' is smaller and sadly, the palette cannot fit inside. This year's bag also has glitz/glam and I wonder if the glitter is going to fall off all over the place (I hope not, but it's a concern of mine).

Makeup Geek Eye Shadows

I know I haven't posted in a while and I promise I'm going to try to post more regularly! Today I want to share with you a few swatches from Makeup Geek's eye shadow line.

I really love the quality of Makeup Geek eye shadows and own quite a few of them. The two I want to feature today are shimmermint and rockstar.  Rockstar is a newer shadow that was released a few months back and shimmermint has been part of the line for a while now.

Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Souffle Raspberry/Opal

I honestly didn't plan on purchasing any of the Becca Beach Tint Shimmer Soufflés, but a few friends were raving about them and other friends posted on Instagram saying how lovely they are.  I had a gift card to Sephora so I thought, why not?!

Lancome Blush Subtil Palette in 323 Rose Flush

I purchased the Lancome Blush Subtil Palette in Rose Flush a few months ago and wanted to share a few pictures with you as well as my thoughts on this product. It retails for $42 USD and comes in five different color combinations. Packaging is plastic with a magnetic closure. The Rose Flush bronzer is cool-toned and has a subtle sheen to it but no apparent shimmer or glitter.  The blush is a lovely pink that's shimmery. The highlight is cool-toned with a hint of pink to it. It has more sheen to it than the bronzer but less than the blush.

Pros-
* The color of the bronzer is very nice, not orange (probably my favorite part of this palette).
* Product is soft, smooth, and silky. It almost feels creamy, but it's a powder.
* All colors apply beautifully and blend well
* I like the three in one concept (bronzer, blush and highlight all in one package)
* Subtil Palette in Rose Flush is flattering for lighter skin-tones
* Fragrance-free

Burberry Lip Cover Lipsticks - Tulip Pink No 27 and Delicate Rose No 22

When I was trying to decide which Burberry Lip Cover Lipsticks I wanted to purchase during Nordstrom's beauty event, I was torn between Delicate Rose and Tulip Pink.  I had the hardest time seeing a difference between the two lip colors online, they looked so similar!! I live far from a Burberry counter and had to pre-order via the phone, so I wasn't able to see the two lip colors in person. My sales associate sent me a sample of Delicate Rose and I purchased Tulip Pink.  I wanted to do this post to help out anyone else who may be trying to choose between these two colors.

Before I delve into the color differences, I just wanted to mention a little about the Burberry Lip Covers.  The packaging has a nice luxury feel (sturdy, sleek, and has clever magnetic closure).  The Burberry Lip Covers glide on the lips and provide a generous amount of color as well as a slight sheen. These aren't the most hydrating lipsticks, yet they aren't terribly drying either. I would say they are just in the middle on the hydrating/drying scale. The Burberry Lip Covers I've tried last about 2-3 hours on my lips. On a different note, I really like the colors. Burberry provides a lot of classic colors and a lot them evoke the image of the classy ladies of the 1930's or 1940's (at least in my mind).  Timeless beauty.

The Comparison-
Delicate Rose has more pink in it and has a slight hint of a 'melon' color. Tulip Pink is a hair darker and is just a tad more brown. I also think that Tulip Pink may have a little more shine to it (but that may be because it's a new lipstick vs. a sample- storage can effect a lipsticks consistency, how it dries out, etc).

Swatch in Natural, indirect lighting (I think the fluorescent lighting swatch is more accurate)-

Giorgio Armani Spring 2012 Eye Palette

A friend of mine gave me the Giorgio Armani Spring 2012 Palette as a gift a few weeks ago (thank you!). This palette is the epitome of spring with the pretty Easter egg-type color scheme. I was pleasantly surprised at how smooth and soft these shadows are. They swatch beautifully and provide a nice pastel wash of color on the eyelids. If you're looking for bright, bold, opaque colors, this quad isn't for you.  The Giorgio Armani Spring 2012 Palette is light, pastel, and beautifully spring.

The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder 01 Light Matte

I purchased The Body Shop's Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 01 Light Matte based on a recommendation from Essie Button. She raves about this bronzer all the time, so I figured I would try it out and write a quick review on it.

Packaging: I love the packaging. It's sturdy and has a click shut closure (to prevent the product from randomly opening).  I love the honeycomb pattern on the top that appears in certain lights. Very cute!

Product: The honeycomb pattern on this bronzing powder is adorable. There isn't a scent to the product and the powder is soft and picks up easily on a brush.  It does have a pink undertone to it though. I've worn it once and I felt as though it made my forehead look sunburned! I have warm/yellow undertones (Mac NC20) and I think this bronzer would be more flattering on someone with red/pink undertones.

Final Thoughts: I think the quality of the powder and the packaging is nice. The Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder is a great price as well (retails for $20. I paid around $14 with a coupon). Sadly, the shade isn't right for me, but would be very pretty on another skin tone.
